Thomas Edison, the world’s greatest inventor, surrounded himself with intelligent people and talented craftsmen who he called his “Muckers.”  The Adventures of Young Thomas Edison features Thomas and his group of “Young Muckers.”  This program is designed to inspire innovative thinking and imagination – bringing out the Edison in all of us.

Thomas

Thomas is a dreamer, a visionary, a motivator, and a leader, that recognizes the importance of teamwork and friendship.  He always has a creative solution to problems.  Looking at things a bit differently than the average person.

Lewis

Lewis is a practical, resourceful, and very mechanical person who prides himself in his ability to build something better than originally planned.  He understands Thomas’ vision and has the ability to bring his theories, plans and ideas to a practical reality.  If Thomas can think it up, Lewis can build it.

Jenny

Jenny is smart, confident, pragmatic, and very athletic.  She is the source of grounding for the dreaming Thomas.  Her perfect blend of physical agility and mental acuity allows her to accomplish things that her cerebral friends are unable to.

Ezra

Ezra is a brilliant student and mathematician; however, he is very nervous, unsure, and lacks confidence. He is known to ask, “What if?” and tries to find reasons not to do something, for fear of failure, getting dirty, or of making his mommy mad.  Thomas inspires Ezra, getting the best from him, while Ezra’s questions ensure that Thomas has thought out his plans.

Charles (The Owl)

Charles is a resident of the tree where the “Creative Clubhouse and Invention Factory” is located.  He has the uncanny ability to look at things from a totally different perspective.  His residency in the neighborhood unknowingly to the “Young Muckers,” provides them with insights that they may not have been able to see using their own perspective.
